Potato Yam Kabab -- Recipe
It's long since I entered into kitchen and recently made this wonderful recipe. It has the taste of fish but veggie people will also love this recipe as happened with many of my friends.
Ingredients
- Yam (Senaikizhangu in Tamil) -100 grams
- Potato - 3
- Ginger - small piece, Garlic- 4 cloves , Green chilly - 1 (Grind it to paste)
- Bread crumbs
- Red Chilly powder
- Salt to taste
Procedure
1. Boil Yam and Potato in cooker. Yam takes long time to get boiled. So, maybe we should give some extra whistles.
2. Grind potato in mixie (grinder mixer). Make sure not to cool the potato much. If its gets too cooled, it wouldn't grind well.
3. Allow Yam to dry and grind it very well. Make sure not to touch yam in hand. Touching it too often would give some itching in hand after long. What my granny used to while cooking with Yam, as soon as she finishes cooking, she applies oil in hand to avoid itching!
4. Now, mix yam, potato, ginger-garlic-green chilly mix and the, chilli powder and salt as per taste. Make this into the shape of a fish without wings. Inside stuffing part is ready.. Lets call this Prep1
5. Dip Prep 1 in bread crumbs and deep fry.
Yummy Kababs are ready!
