Cricket World Cup 2011 -- Kick off on Feb 19th

Like all the cricket fans, I am also eagerly waiting for the upcoming world cup, which is hosted jointly by India, Srilanka and Pakistan. As India is the main host of the match, I thought of asking my hubby about going and attending a match in Bangalore but unfortunately, no matches of India is happening here. . India won the cup in 1983 and in 2000, they were in the finals and after that, India has been very poor in the world cup matches. This time, somehow I have lot of hope that they will go to the finals and win the cup. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed as the brand ambassader of this world cup. And an other fact is Javed Miandad, who is regarded as Pakistan's greatest batsman ever, is the only player to have played first six cricket world cup competitions. After this world cup, Sachin will join hands with Javed to be one of the playes to have played world cup six times. Another acheivement to his list!
