Halloween Party?!?!?!
Akil watched bubble guppies programme in Nick Junior channel where some of his favorite cartoon friends celebrated Halloween Party. This repeats once in a while and from a week back, Akil is pestering that he wants to celebrate a Halloween party at home. Wonder how kids get fantasized about the non-existing things. Akil says that as he is organizing the party, he will be the Ghost. He has also given various costumes to each member in the family starting from bats, vampires, spiders, etc. Little bro Arnav will get jack-a-lantern. Justification given by big bro is "he is the smallest in the family and if we give other costumes, he will get scared." :) Here is the conversation we had.
Akil: Amma, we have to get the decorations for halloween party
Me: Akil, we don't celebrate such parties in India.
Akil: I'm not in India. I'm in Coimbatore. We can celebrate halloween party here.
Me: Which is your country?
Akil: India is my country but I'm not in India
Me: Okay! Coimbatore is in India.
Akil: Okay! (imitates me) Where did Molly, Nonny, Gil celebrate?
Me: Their country is United States of America
Akil: Lets go to America. I will call all my friends also & lets all go & have fun
Me: America is very far and I don't have money to travel so far.
Akil: But you are going to office now. So, you must have money
Me: All that money is spent for our dresses, food & home.
Akil: Does appa have money?
Me: mmm....Maybe not
Akil: Idea! I have lot of money in my piggy bank and we can take that and go
His piggy bank only has coins and I couldn't stop my laugh when he said that & finally said okay. He was proud of himself that he gave a great & nice idea. Now the job for all of us at home is to divert him whenever he starts this topic. :)
