Akil's Drawing

Actual Picture

Akil (4.5 yrs old) has started to draw decent pictures from the last few months. He creates a story on his own and starts drawing. His school annual day is coming up shortly and he has been selected for a skit. Few kids in class have some dialogues to recite and few of them are singers. Akil is a bee and has few dialogues to recite. His teacher gave the dialogue sheet to him in the winter holidays and Akil was ready to recite to anyone or everyone he meets.

With that story in place, we found a related picture in a website and Akil drew the picture. Inky is the mouse and bee is Inky's friend. Inky has lot of bee friends and Akil is one of bees in the skit. 

Story line is like this.

"Inky and bees are going to take a picture of a snake. Inky keeps the camera on top of a rock and takes it. Below the rock are the stones... :D".

He started off drawing with the snake and then bee. The rest I told him to draw. He wasn't that interested to colour but I forced him to.. That's what mothers are for :)

I sent the drawing to his school and at school; they appreciated and encouraged Akil to the best! They have also displayed it at their school's notice board. :) 

Few months back, we had joined him in karate class. Akil was not at all interested. We waited for 6 months and hoped for change. It was only the reverse. Now, a "good bye" to karate class and a "hi" to drawing class. Hoping the best that he will continue this.
