Good Bye Bangalore!

There are so many thoughts going on in mind. Mixed feelings I should say. Happy to move to Coimbatore but feeling very bad to move out of Bangalore.

I & my best friend Jayathy stepped into Bangalore for job hunt on May 1, 2004. We had just completed our education and a training @ TCS, Chennai which was part of our curriculum. Jayathy was very determined to get a job and only through her, I learn't the need for a job. We knew that software hub is Bangalore and decided to move here. I have come to Bangalore once through a school trip and another trip with parents and family friends but knew nothing beyond that. Without any thought, Jay said we both are going to stay at Mala Cheriamma's home. Mala Cheriamma is Jayathy's mom's sister. I have never seen her before but knew that they have a cute little daughter Veena of 5 year old. Mala Cheriamma & uncle took care of us like their own daughters. She will do all cooking, cleaning and will not allow us to touch anything. She says, this is the time for you to learn... lot of cooking and cleaning is awaiting in future... we never realised that it's soooo much :)!

Whoever gets job first, should bare the expense of the other was our mantra. But both of us got job with less gap. I joined "First Apex" first and within a month, Jay joined "Informatica". We took different paying guest accommodation and was separate for 6 months. We would travel to native together and meet on all weekends. And then, I also joined Jay at Informatica through her referral. Every month, we used to prepare a list on what to buy for whom. Both of our parents asked us to just enjoy with the money we get. Moment to think and spend was not too far away!!!

Yes! Within a year I got married. Marriage meant lot of new things. Life changed so much! As it was arranged marriage, everything was very new! Only men whom I have seen in my life closely is my dad. I realized that I & L are from different planets but terms like love, sacrifice, adjustment came out naturally between us.

A good friend whom I got in Bangalore is Alamelu. Usually, getting good friends at job is not so easy. We both were in the same team. The best thing I like about her is her straight forwardness & all the other wonderful qualities for a good friend. Other friends whom I have spent more time in Bangalore is Vani (my school & college mate) & Sugi (L's friend's wife).

And then, after a little wait, Akil came in to our life. I was happy that my son will be born and brought up in Bangalore. He will be too hi-fi and will be amazing in communication were the thoughts in mind when he came in. But never thought that day to move out of Bangalore will come so quick... even before Akil could step into school.

Bangalore gave us a great life and was a great place to live in. If any of you are thinking of relocating to Bangalore for any reason, don't think, just do it. It's such a lovely place.

My next post will come with a lil delay from cotton city "Coimbatore".
