Simple Cooking: "Italian Cheese Pasta"

I normally cook only the recipes that interest's my hubby. I started to learn cooking only after wedding and first year of wedding was only experiments. I neither know to make coffee nor tea and the only reason is L doesn't drink them. On the contrary, L is a great cook specially with chicken and fish. In these last 6 years, I have studied the art and have started to enjoy cooking.

Now, I cook with only Akil in mind. He is too fussy in eating and eats only if it's super tasty. Pasta is one of his favorites. This recipe was given by my cousin Vimala who is in Singapore and my stay at Singapore in 2007 was at their home. They are very sweet couple... will need a separate post for them :-)! She also got me the ingredient "Italian herbs" but it's also available in departmental stores here.

And the recipe....

  • Macaroni of your choice - 1 cup
  • Tomato -1
  • Onion -1
  • Garlic cloves- chopped 2 tbsp
  • Italian herbs - 1 tsp
  • chilli powder - 1/4 tsp (less or more as required)
  • Olive oil
  • Grated Cheese - 2 tsp
  • salt to taste

Made sure to click :)
Method:
1. Boil Macaroni separately with a pinch of salt.
2. In a tawa, add olive oil, garlic, onion, tomato and fry well
3. Add Italian herbs to the above and mix well.
4. Add the boiled macaroni and salt as need and cook for a minute
5. As the last step, add the grated cheese and wait for it to melt.
6. In Akil's words "Tasty Paatha eady - Tasty pasta is ready"
