Tiny words from Tiny Tot!

Akil started off very well in speaking with few words at 15 months and improved slowly till 20 months. Then, there was change in lifestyle with his daycare. Everybody around told me that as he mingles with more kids, he will start talking rapidly. It was the reverse in our case. He seldom spoke and would just make few sounds. And his daycare was stopped when he was 25 months. Even then, he would speak only one or two words. This caused a little worry in me but my hubby the great was too confident that he would speak well though he starts late. People around kept advising me to keep talking to him, give him honey, lolli pop, etc. I did all the best I could. Only when he was 27 months (2 years & 3 months), he kickstarted it again all over. and some more. When we ask him for his name, he says "Aki" (for Akil). It's so much joy to hear him speak.
