Kodaikanal - A jolly trip with mom & dad

Mom with Kids!!
All of us had vacation in October and wanted to plan a short yet sweet trip. As we went to Oooty in the summer holidays, the next best place that quickly swiped our mind was Kodaikanal. We planned the trip with my parents as it will be a good change for them than with the usual routine and it would be easy for us also to take care of the naughty brats. But at the last moment, L had to drop out due to an unavoidable official trip to Chennai. Nevertheless, we were still fine to proceed with my parents. We started on a fine Saturday early morning with driver in Innova. Kid’s excitement was boundless as we started the journey. Arnav kept on saying "Wow...Wow"... Wonder what bought him the excitement! :)
Hill County Resort!
That DancE
The resort that we booked was “Hill County Resort, Kodaikanal”. It was beautiful and calm place with excellent dining. It was little far from the city but the recreation activities in the hotel were great that kids never felt boring. Food is slightly expensive but the quantity served is large enough. One disadvantage was our room was quite far away from the restaurant and recreation activity centers that parents felt difficulty in walking between the places often. There is ample space for indoor and outdoor games which kept us occupied. After dinner, took Akil to discotheque to see his reaction. Luckily, kids were asked to sing and dance. Akil did a pretty good dancing (Thanks to his dancing class & the master who has loads of patience to handle kids). Saturday was complete stay at the resort.

Rocking Bro's!
On Sunday, we checked out from the resort and started to visit places. We were only looking for places that would be of interest for Akil & Arnav. Horse riding, boating and ice skating was the only things that we covered. Ice skating was a good experience and is a must visit place. This place was tedious to find and the building appearance was not great at the first look but the ice skating & café was awesome. On the way back, stopped at silver line falls where monkeys were too attractive for Arnav. Overall a jolly and a memorable trip! J
