Akil's 5th Birthday!

I have never delayed a post for 3 months until this one. Absolutely not able to make time for blogging though it has always been in mind. Shuttling between home and office, kids, travelling to native, etc kept me busy all these days.

Akil's 5th birthday was on Aug 9. I'm marking this day in the blog as Akil loves to refresh this day like every other kid. The day started with kids visiting Palani temple with my parents. I & L were getting the home ready as celebration was at home this time as well. This year, I was totally exhausted with work and didn't do  much of planning. Surprisingly L was interested and he made lot of efforts in executing it. Planned on a "Chotta Bheem theme" as materials were readily available. But L was not satisfied with the materials we purchased and he made some crafty things and that was the best attractive. Kids were back by noon and we made sure things are ready by then. Once Arnav saw these decos, he was ready to tear, pull and have fun in his own way. With my parents around, somehow we managed to control and handle him. As always, neighbour kids made the party lively. One of my best friend Vani had come with her son Nandan. And L's friend's family had come with their son Rohit. They were our special guests. Akil had a blast with loads of kids and gifts. We had purchased some tattoos to stick and kids enjoyed it.

Another best gift on this birthday is my cousin Sethu had his 2nd daughter on the same day. This cute little angel is named "Aathrayi" who is chubby, bubbly and amazingly cute. Hope to have fun together with them on one of the forthcoming birthdays when time permits for both the families to meet and make merry.
