Cricket: T20 Internation World Cup 2012

I have been closely watching all the games of the T20 world cup that got over yesterday. India was knocked out after the "Super Eight" matches. But they played brilliantly. I would say that luck didn't favour them. Though India were not in semi's and finals, it was good to watch those matches without much tension. I was too happy when Australia and Pakistan didn't reach finals. It was Srilanka Vs West Indies in the finals. Heart wanted "West Indies" to win but head said Srilanka. West Indies batted first and scored 137. I was sure Sri Lanka will easily chase this score and was not so interested in watching the second innings... Neither did the "power cut" allow! Woke up in the morning today and eagerly opened the daily newspaper and the headlines read "Dance of the Champions" with West Indies doing their dance movements.

Yes! West Indies crowned World T20 Champions! Sri lankans could take only 101 runs in return to WI's 137. 

I also watched women's T20 world cup finals. It was Australia Vs England. This was the first time I am watching an international women's cricket. Amazing were those girls. All these cricketers are really blessed. The ground was made smaller for women to hit boundaries and six's easily. It was a very close match with Australia emerging as champions.

It's going to be boring without cricket for some time. But eagerly waiting for Champions trophy as Chennai Super Kings is playing in it.
