Akil did his first cooking yesterday with so much of spirit and enthusiasm. He generally likes to help me in every activity I do like folding clothes, plucking the leaves from curry leaves/ leafy vegetables, putting clothes in the washing machine and so on. Most of the times, his interest turns out to be a re-work for me but I force myself to control my temper just to encourage him.
Here are the few things that triggered this thought of cooking in him yesterday.
i. At school, the theme for this month is vegetables. They have a lab named "Home Corner" and yesterday, they have shown him how to use vegetables (wash, clean, cut, pluck leaves), fold napkins and have advised kids to help mom at home. At our days, we have heard of things like lab only in 6th or 7th standard. But believe me, Akil is in Pre-KG.
ii. Yesterday, my friend Anu has uploaded few photos of her cutie-pie son Gautamn helping her in cooking and they were making egg omlette. Seeing that, Akil couldn't resist himself from entering the kitchen. And I was also ready for the challenge and set things ready for the little chef.
iii. And the other main reason being "I Can Cook" show in CBeeBies. The show has kids of 3 and 4 year old cooking variety of recipes. Akil got introduced to cooking only through this show.
Made sure to click all the activities by my adament yet adorable sweetie!

After cooking, he fed this omlette to me. It was the tastiest and yummiest omlette ever! After finishing the first one, he sooner made the second one and told that it is for his appa (dad). He was waiting to feed his dad but fell asleep before his dad could return from office.
