Long time since last blog... Lots of update

It's been months since I blogged. This is the longest gap since I started blogging. Not that I dont get time, its all laziness.

We celebrated Akil's 2nd birthday at his day care. With lots of kids around, it was great fun. We planned much earlier and had a cake ordered in the shape Akil likes. Akil's world is full of cars. "Taam" is the name he has given for cars. Not sure from were it originated but he is not ready to call it car.

After the cake cut, we went to Lalbagh. The flower show that comes in every year is supposed to be a biggest event in Blore. They has made a relica of lotus temple using white flowers. Logu wanted to take him to zoo. Next to cars, what Akil adores is animals. But I thought he will as much enjoy the colourful flowers.

But I wrong. Akil just didnt like it. He was so bored and was showing faces. The crowd was huge and what more do we need for a kid's frustration. But managed to take some clicks!

A week after his birthday was a disaster. Akil fell sick. He was having cold and cough on and off since he started with day care. This time, he was not ready to eat anything and he was on a hunger strike for almost a week. And the pediatrician to whom we took Akil was not great which we realised really late. He gave a medicine that shouldn't be given to kids and that made Akil's health worsen. Later on, we found a good pediatrician. His name is Dr. Aravind Shenoy. He was too good and made Akil a healthy baby again. But as Akil was falling sick often with day care, we have stopped sending him.

So with work, how am I managing Akil would be the next question?!?!? As usual, called up my mom and asked her to be here for few months. This was actually my dad's idea. Amma is just not liking to stay with us for various reasons. She is ready to take Akil to native and take care of him. We are not ready to get separated from Akil. All this is bringing to the thought of quitting job. I know how I have lamented to get into job as I stayed at home for more than 1.5 years. When it comes to job or Akil, it goes without saying that it's Akil.

Lets see how much mom can manage until that, I will continue work.

Another happy note that I have is we have constructed a small apartment in our native and planning to rent it out. It has six 2 BHK flats and we are planning to have the house warming ceremony on 7th Nov 2011 (thats also my birthday!) What a wonderful gift from Logu on my birthday :-) Just hoping that all goes well and we are able to manage paying loan.
