Cricket - mania

With India lifting the cricket world cup 2011, it has become cricket-mania everywhere in the country. With no time to swallow the victory, IPL season 4 was already in place. And as IPL progressed, people almost forgot about the world cup and started indulging in it completely. What an achievement by Dhoni! Winning captian of IPL Season III, World cup and again IPL season IV. He is truly amazing. I heard that IITians are planning to do a study on the history of acheivements by Dhoni, to understand the pshcology of this cool captain and come out with results on how to stay cool in pressure and be successful. They are also studying his failures on what made failures come his way. What a subject of interest for the students! By the way, not sure how true this news is... Only if we get the results, we can believe! What ever.. I loved his victory as he was the caption of Chennai Supre Kings

IPL season IV has got over and within a week, Indian has gone on a tour to West Indies and after that, again to England. But now, there has been an other flavour of cricket - CCL season 1. CCL term was too new for me as well. This is Celebrity Cricket League which has cinema actors playing cricket. There are 4 teams with actors coming from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & North India. Cricket fans will love these but too much of anything will never be interesting. These days, Cricket has become more of a business than a game.  I wonder where this road will end.
